Stress, emotional weight, spiritual awakening, ancestral callings. If something in your energy needs to shift, this is where that work begins. Reiki and Kundalini Reiki sessions in Harare and at a distance.
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice, developed in the early 1900s. The word comes from rei and ki, often translated as universal life force energy.
A practitioner places their hands gently on or near the body, fully clothed, acting as a channel for this energy. There's no massage or physical manipulation involved.
People come to Reiki for many reasons. Reported benefits include:
Deep relaxation and stress relief · Easing anxious feelings and overwhelm · Better sleep · Support through grief or emotional weight · A sense of clarity and groundedness · Relief from tension held in the body · Support alongside medical or psychiatric care, not instead of it
Research shows Reiki can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of the body responsible for rest and recovery. This can lower cortisol, slow the heart rate, and shift the body out of a stress response.
Reiki can be sent without the practitioner physically present. Energy isn't believed to be limited by distance, the same intention and channel of energy can be directed to you wherever you are.
In a distance session, you'll typically be lying down somewhere quiet at an agreed time. I hold the intention to send Reiki to you, often using a photo or simply your name to direct the energy. Many people feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation during a distance session, much like an in-person one.
You remain fully clothed throughout. You'll either lie down or sit comfortably. I'll work with your energy field, hands on or near the body, moving through different areas. Sessions are quiet, you might fall asleep, feel emotional, see colours, or simply feel deeply relaxed. There's no one "correct" way to experience it.
After a session, particularly a deeper one, you may temporarily feel worse before you feel better. This is sometimes called a healing crisis, the body releasing what it's been holding can bring up tiredness, emotional rawness, headaches, or vivid dreams in the day or two after a session.
This isn't a sign that anything went wrong. It's a sign that something shifted. It usually passes within a day or two.
What you do after a session matters as much as the session itself. Drink water. Rest where you can. Avoid jumping straight into something demanding. Give yourself permission to feel whatever comes up, rather than pushing past it.
Integration is the quiet work of letting the shift settle into your body and your life. Skipping this step doesn't undo the session, but giving yourself the space afterward helps it land more fully.
Kundalini Reiki is a modern energy healing system developed by Ole Gabrielsen, a Danish spiritual teacher and meditator, through his connection with Master Kuthumi. Unlike traditional Usui Reiki, which focuses on channelling universal life energy through the hands, Kundalini Reiki adds a specific dimension: the safe, intentional opening of the body's central energy channel, from the base of the spine to the crown, allowing energy to move freely upward through all seven chakras.
Where Usui Reiki calms and restores, Kundalini Reiki awakens. It works at a deeper, more sustained level, which is why sessions are held across three appointments rather than a single visit.
Kundalini Reiki is particularly well suited to those who are ready for deeper work, not just stress relief, but genuine energetic transformation. It is especially powerful for those on a spiritual awakening journey, experiencing a shift in consciousness or a deepening connection to something beyond the everyday.
It is also a strong fit for those with an ancestral calling, those who sense they carry a spiritual gift or lineage they have not yet fully connected with. Energy work, and Kundalini Reiki in particular, creates the conditions for these gifts to reawaken and flow more freely.
One client shared that after her sessions, her spiritual gifts came alive in a way they had not worked in eleven years. This is not unusual. Sometimes gifts do not disappear, they simply go dormant, and intentional energy work can gently reopen what has been closed.
My Kundalini Reiki sessions are intuitively guided. I draw on the full range of Ole Gabrielsen's system, including both Usui and Kundalini energy, depending on what your energy requires in the moment. Sometimes one modality is needed, sometimes both are woven together. The specialised forms I work with include:
Works with a fine, high-frequency energy for deep clearing and bringing clarity to the energy body. Best for those experiencing mental fog, lack of direction, or spiritual stagnation that other approaches have not shifted.
Works with the energetic properties of crystals at an etheric level, without needing physical crystals present. Particularly useful for gentle, structural energetic support and for those who resonate with crystal healing.
Directed toward the body's energetic blueprint, supporting the release of patterns that feel inherited rather than personally created. Particularly relevant for those who carry the emotional weight of what their lineage has been through, or who recognise patterns that seem older than their own lifetime.
Focuses on energetic imprints connected to the birth experience. Best for those who experience deep-seated patterns of fear, restriction, or feeling unwelcome in the body, or who feel they arrived in this life already carrying a heaviness.
Reiki directed at a place rather than a person, to clear stagnant or heavy energy from a home or workspace. Also used to send energy toward a specific situation that feels stuck or energetically heavy, a relationship dynamic, a looming decision, a work environment.
Addresses energetic patterns believed to originate beyond the current lifetime. Best for those who have done significant inner work and still find certain patterns resistant to change, or who feel drawn to people, places, or experiences they cannot explain.
Sekhem (also spelled Seichim or SKHM) is an ancient Egyptian energy healing system. The word means power, might, or divine strength in the ancient Egyptian language — representing the life force energy that flows through all living things. Where Reiki originates in Japan, Sekhem's lineage traces to the sacred temples of ancient Egypt, particularly those dedicated to Sekhmet, the lion-headed goddess of healing and transformation.
Sekhem was rediscovered and brought into modern practice by Patrick Zeigler, who had a profound energetic experience inside the Great Pyramid of Giza in 1980 — an experience described as similar in nature to Mikao Usui's on Mount Kurama. It was later developed and formalised as a complete energy system by Helen Belôt, an Australian healer and former occupational health therapist, who reintroduced it in the 1990s as a living, evolving system suited to modern times.
Sekhem is connected to Sekhmet, the ancient Egyptian lion-headed goddess — at once the goddess of war and of healing sciences. She is the guardian and protector of energy. Working with Sekhem energy means working within this lineage of fierce, transformative healing.
Reiki and Sekhem are not in competition — they are two streams of the same river. Each carries a distinct quality and works at a different level:
Works primarily with the chakra system. Gentle, harmonising, and deeply calming. Well suited to stress relief, emotional support, and bringing the nervous system into rest.
Works at a higher vibrational frequency and focuses on the body's core channel system. Described as more expansive, deeply spiritual, and heart-centred. Where Reiki calms and restores, Sekhem tends to bring to the surface what needs to be faced — patterns, shadows, and old material that is ready to be released. It accelerates growth.
Many people describe Sekhem as feeling stronger or more spacious than other energy work they have experienced. Some describe it as a shift in perception — like a sharpening of awareness, a lightening, a sense of expansion. Because Sekhem brings what no longer serves you to the surface, sessions can feel confronting as well as releasing. This is the nature of transformational energy — it does not smooth things over, it moves them through.
Sekhem is particularly well suited to those who are ready for deeper transformation rather than surface-level relief. Those who sense they are at a turning point — personally, spiritually, or energetically — and who are willing to look honestly at what needs to change. Those on a spiritual awakening journey, or those who feel that previous energy work has begun something that needs to go further.
When combined with Usui Reiki in a session, the two systems work together to bring both grounding and expansion — stability alongside transformation. Sessions using both are intuitively guided based on what your energy calls for in the moment.
These extras can be added onto a session where relevant to what you're working through.
Womb Reiki directs Reiki energy specifically to the womb space, an area many traditions consider a centre of emotional and creative energy. This is offered regardless of whether you have a physical womb.
It's used to ease tension held in this area, support emotional release connected to relationships, cycles, or loss, and restore a sense of connection to this part of the body.
Who it's for: people feeling disconnected from their body, holding grief or heaviness around fertility, relationships, or womanhood, or wanting to bring gentle energetic attention to this part of themselves.
We form energetic connections with the people, places, and experiences in our lives, some of these connections continue to draw on our energy long after the relationship or situation has ended.
Cord cutting is a practice of releasing those draining ties with intention, while leaving healthy connections intact. It doesn't erase a relationship or memory, it eases the ongoing energetic pull.
Who needs it: people still feeling tied to an ended relationship, carrying tension from a specific person or situation, or noticing they feel drained after contact with someone in particular.
The aura is the energy field surrounding the body. The chakras are seven energy centres running along the spine, each associated with different aspects of physical, emotional, and energetic life.
When a chakra is balanced, energy flows freely through it. When it's blocked or overactive, this can show up as physical sensations, emotional patterns, or recurring life themes. Reiki works to clear and rebalance these centres, supporting the system as a whole.
The associations below come from energy healing tradition. They're offered as a way of understanding patterns, not as medical or psychological fact.
Associated with safety, stability, and survival.
Associated with creativity, pleasure, and emotional flow.
Associated with personal power, confidence, and will.
Associated with love, compassion, and connection.
Associated with communication, truth, and self-expression.
Associated with intuition, clarity, and inner knowing.
Associated with spiritual connection and a sense of meaning.
Four core offers, clearly priced. Real change usually happens over time rather than in a single appointment, which is why the deeper offers are held across three sessions.
One in-person session, followed by two distance sessions. Built for processing stress, anxious feelings, and emotional weight.
1, 3, or 5-hour sessions, in person or at a distance. General energetic support and chakra alignment.
In-person, deeper energetic work. Draws on diamond, crystalline, DNA, and other specialised energy as needed. For those ready for sustained transformation.
Ancient Egyptian energy healing, working at a higher vibrational frequency than Usui Reiki. For those at a turning point — ready to face and release what has been held for a long time. Sessions may draw on both Sekhem and Usui energy as guided.
Vukani means "wake up" and Khanyisa means "to shine" or "illuminate." Both names are isiNdebele, and both speak to what these salts are for, clearing what's heavy, and inviting in what's wanted.
Each blend is hand mixed with herbs chosen for their traditional energetic properties, combined with sea salt and Himalayan pink salt, and infused with Reiki before they're packaged.
They draw on Zimbabwean ritual bathing tradition, where herbs and salt have long been used for cleansing and protection. Used as part of a simple at-home ritual, full directions are included on every bag.
I'm Saliwe, founder of Alchemy & Alignment, a Reiki and energy healing practice based in Harare.
I'm trained in Usui and Kundalini Reiki, and I've studied somatic awareness and trauma informed practices to support how I hold space for clients.
My approach is also shaped by my own healing journey, and by Zimbabwean ancestral tradition, which informs how I understand energy, pattern, and healing.
"I don't promise miracles. I create a space where the body can settle, and do what it already knows how to do."
I work with people who want energetic support for stress, anxious feelings, stuck emotional patterns, or a general sense of being out of sync, through Reiki, chakra balancing, breathwork, and body awareness.
Wear comfortable clothes. Eat lightly. Drink water beforehand. Come with an open mind, but no need to prepare anything else.
Rest where you can. Hydrate. Journal if emotions surface. Avoid rushing straight back into something demanding.
